INSURANCE SERVICE FOR EMPLOYMENT INJURY AND OCCUPATIONAL DISEASES

ELIGIBILITY FOR DISABILITY PENSION:

The disability pension for an insured person, who has lost his/her working capacity due to an employment injury or occupational disease, shall be assessed from his/or her monthly average wage, or earnings in proportion to the percentage of loss of capacity for work.

RATE OF DISABILITY PENSION:

The percentage and length of disablement of an insured person shall be determined by the Medical Labor Accreditation Commission functioning under Social Insurance Office where the insured person resides. The percentage, length and cause of Labor Accreditation Commission functioning under the National Research Center.

ELIGIBILITY FOR TEMPORARY DISABILITY BENEFIT:

The insured person, who has lost his capacity for work due to temporary disablement caused by an employment injury or occupational disease, shall be eligible for a temporary disability benefit.

RATE OF TEMPORARY DISABILITY BENEFIT:

The rate of a temporary disability benefit provided to the insured person who has lost his/her capacity for work due to temporary disablement caused by an employment injury or occupational disease shall be of 100 percent of wage and similar earnings, regardless of the length of insurable service.

LENGTH OF TEMPORARY DISABILITY BENEFIT:

The temporary disability benefit shall be payable from the day of loss of capacity for work until the incapacity is rehabilitated, or eligibility for a disability pension is obtained, and the maximum length of temporary disability benefit shall not exceed 180 days out of consecutive twelve months.

ELIGIBILITY FOR DEPENDENT’S PENSION:

Where an insured person dies due to an employment injury or occupational disease, his/or she family dependent members shall be eligible for a dependent’s full pension, regardless of the social insurance contribution period.

RATE OF DEPENDENT’S PENSION:

The dependent’s pension shall be assessed at the following percentages of the average wage and similar earnings of the deceased, considering the number of dependents.

ELIGIBILITY FOR REHABILITATION PAYMENT:

The insured person who has lost 30 percent and more of his/her capacity for work due to an employment injury or occupational disease shall be eligible for a rehabilitation payment:

  1. Prosthetics, orthopedics and treatment
  2. To pay contributions of pension insurance
  3. To receive sanatorium care
  4. To receive treatment in sanatorium for occupational diseases

MEDICAL SERVICES THAT EXPENSES ARE PROVIDED FROM THE HEALTH INSURANCE FUND

According to the Law on Health Insurance, the Health Insurance fun covers the following expenses related to medical services.
